About this Hermès Kelly Retourne 25 Orange Togo
The Hermès HSS Kelly Retourne 25 Orange Verso Gold is for sale as a single unit. Retourne construction is stitched inside out and then turned, rounding the corners for a softer stance. As a Special Order, this colour combination was never offered off the shelf.
25 is the size the market waits longest for, in either Birkin or Kelly. Togo is a pebbled calfskin with a fine raised grain. It shrugs off light scratching far better than a smooth leather and softens slowly at the corners. Gold hardware is a warm yellow plate and is the finish that moves fastest on the secondary market.
It is finished with tonal stitching. The interior is lined in Gold chevre leather. It is a Verso, meaning the interior is lined in a deliberately contrasting colour. Special Order, or HSS, pieces are placed through a boutique rather than bought off the shelf. They carry a horseshoe stamp above the Hermès blind stamp, and they exist in colour and leather combinations that never reach general stock.
