Complimentary insured worldwide delivery — every piece authenticated in-house

Shipping Policy

Free insured shipping across the United States, UK orders delivered duty paid, and a flat $158 worldwide — with despatch, tracking and cancellation terms in full.

This is our shipping policy in full. Every piece travels insured for its full value, tracked door to door. Delivery always needs a direct signature. And nothing leaves us in packaging that names what is inside.

We ship with PostNL, Prime Transport and UPS. We pick the carrier per destination, and we choose whichever one insures high-value goods on that route.

Our shipping policy at a glance

  • United States — free insured shipping on every order.
  • United Kingdom — a flat $158, insured, and delivered duty paid so you owe nothing on arrival.
  • Everywhere else — a flat $158, insured.
  • Every parcel — insured in full, tracked, and signed for.

Shipping within the United States

Shipping within the United States is free and insured on every order. Domestic orders move by insured express, marked Direct Signature Required, so no carrier leaves a parcel unattended. For a PO Box address, Prime Transport carries it.

  • Order cut-off — 6:00 pm Pacific Time, Monday to Friday.
  • Handling — 0–1 business days.
  • Transit — 1–4 business days.
  • Estimated delivery — 1–5 business days, depending on your location.

Delivery to the United Kingdom

We ship to the UK delivered duty paid. Carriage is a flat $158, added at checkout. Beyond that the price on the product page is the price you pay: before a parcel leaves us, we calculate the UK import VAT and duty, declare it and settle it. So you owe the courier nothing on delivery, and no parcel waits at a depot for payment.

This matters more than it sounds. On a five-figure piece, UK import charges reach roughly a fifth of the value. That is several thousand pounds, and couriers usually demand it on the doorstep before releasing the parcel. Rather than leave you that surprise, we absorb it.

Shipping worldwide

Outside the United States, our shipping policy sets a flat insured fee of $158 per order. We calculate it at checkout, whatever the destination or weight.

  • Order cut-off — 6:00 pm Pacific Time, Monday to Friday.
  • Handling — 1–2 business days.
  • Transit — 7–10 business days.
  • Estimated delivery — 8–12 business days, depending on your location.

We ship to every country covered by our cargo insurance, which includes most of Europe, Asia and the Gulf, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Canada. There are destinations we cannot reach — among them Mainland China, Russia, Mexico and Brazil. If you are unsure whether we ship to you, ask before ordering and we will tell you honestly.

Duties, taxes and declarations

We calculate sales tax at checkout where it applies. Under this shipping policy, UK orders travel delivered duty paid, so you owe nothing further on arrival.

Elsewhere, the destination country sets any import VAT, duty or customs handling fee. The carrier collects it before delivery. Expect roughly 8–10% of the item cost, though it varies widely by country.

We declare every parcel accurately and at full value. We will not under-declare a shipment or mark it as a gift. That is customs fraud. It exposes you as the importer to penalties, and it voids the transit insurance that protects you if the parcel goes missing.

Would you like an estimate of the charges into your country before you commit? Ask us, and we will find out for you.

Despatch

We despatch orders within one to two business days of cleared payment. Every piece is one of a kind, and we hold it in a secure facility rather than on a shelf. So we photograph each bag again just before packing, and send you those photographs with the tracking number.

Higher-value pieces sometimes need extra identity verification before despatch. If that applies to your order, we contact you directly. It prevents fraud, and it protects both of us.

Tracking

  • Every order ships with a tracking number, and you can follow it to the door.
  • The moment a parcel leaves us, an email brings you that number.
  • Allow the carrier up to 48 hours to activate its tracking information.
  • Check the email address you gave us at checkout, or that notification will miss you.

Cancellations

Change your mind before a parcel leaves us, and we cancel the order and refund you in full. No questions asked. After despatch, our Returns & Refunds Policy takes over instead.

Incorrect addresses

Please check your delivery address carefully at checkout. If you enter it wrongly, and the parcel comes back to us or goes missing on the way, we cannot cover that loss. You would also pay any re-shipping cost. So tell us the moment you spot a mistake. If we have not dispatched the parcel yet, we can almost always correct it.

If a parcel is lost or damaged

We insure every shipment for its full value, from the moment it leaves us until someone signs for it. If a parcel goes missing, or arrives damaged, that is our problem and not yours. Contact us. We refund you in full, and we deal with the carrier ourselves.

Please inspect the parcel before signing where the carrier allows it, and photograph any damage to the outer packaging before opening.

Common questions about our shipping policy

Will I be charged anything on delivery in the UK?

No. UK orders ship delivered duty paid: import VAT and duty are settled by us before despatch. The price on the product page is the total cost. If a courier ever asks you for money on a UK delivery from us, refuse it and contact us immediately.

Can you under-declare the value to reduce my import charges?

No. Customs declarations are made accurately and at full value on every shipment. Under-declaring is customs fraud, it exposes you as the importer to penalties, and it invalidates the transit insurance that would otherwise protect you if the parcel were lost.

Do you ship to my country?

We ship to every destination covered by our cargo insurance — most of Europe, Asia and the Gulf, plus the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We cannot currently ship to Mainland China, Russia, Mexico or Brazil, or to destinations where sanctions apply. If checkout will not accept your address, contact us and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.

Delivery, signatures and viewings

Do I have to sign for the delivery?

Yes. Every parcel is marked Direct Signature Required and the carrier will not release it otherwise. If you will not be at the address, contact us before despatch and we will arrange a delivery date that works, or hold the parcel for collection at a carrier depot.

Can I collect in person or arrange a private viewing?

Yes, by appointment at 7007 Friars Rd, San Diego, CA 92108. Get in touch and we will arrange a time between 10:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday. For a purchase at this level we would always rather you saw the piece in your hands first if that is possible for you.

Are exotic skins subject to additional restrictions?

Yes. Alligator, crocodile, lizard and ostrich are covered by CITES, and moving them across borders requires permits that take time and are refused for some destinations. Where a listed piece is an exotic, we confirm what is possible for your country before accepting the order.
