Hermès HSS Birkin 25 Gold Togo Gold, available to buy now. The 25 is the smallest of the core Birkin sizes and the hardest to source at retail, which is why it consistently carries the largest premium over boutique price.

Togo is a pebbled calfskin with a fine raised grain. It shrugs off light scratching far better than a smooth leather and holds the Birkin’s shape while the corners soften slowly with use. Gold hardware is a warm yellow plate and is the finish that moves fastest on the secondary market.

Retourne construction, stitched inside out and then turned, gives rounded corners and a slightly relaxed stance. The bag carries a front flap, two straps closing over a centre toggle, a clochette holding the lock and keys, and double rolled handles. This is a Special Order, or HSS, commission. Those are placed through a boutique rather than bought off the shelf, they carry a horseshoe stamp above the Hermès blind stamp, and they exist in combinations that never reach general stock.

Condition is stated as New. The blind stamp dates production to 2023.
