The Hermès HSS Birkin 35 Menthe Verso Gold is for sale as a one-off piece. Special Order Birkins are placed through a boutique rather than bought off the shelf. Bi-colour, tri-colour and Verso commissions like this one exist in combinations Hermès never produces for general stock.
35 is a working size, taking a folder and a laptop sleeve without losing the line. Togo is a pebbled calfskin with a fine raised grain. It shrugs off light scratching far better than a smooth leather and softens slowly at the corners. Gold hardware is a warm yellow plate and is the finish that moves fastest on the secondary market.
It is finished with tonal stitching. The interior is lined in Gold chevre. It is a Verso, meaning the interior is lined in a deliberately contrasting colour. Special Order, or HSS, pieces are placed through a boutique rather than bought off the shelf. They carry a horseshoe stamp above the Hermès blind stamp, and they exist in colour and leather combinations that never reach general stock.
