The Rolex DateJust 41mm Stainless Steel Circa 2013 is for sale as a one-off piece. The Datejust introduced the automatically changing date window in 1945 and remains the most versatile watch in the catalogue.
The case measures 41mm in stainless steel, on a yellow gold bracelet. The movement is automatic, wound by the motion of the wrist. It is factory or aftermarket gem-set; the dial and bezel stones are described in the listing photography.
A date display is set into the dial. Production dates to Circa 2013. The Rolex Reference 116333 denotes the discontinued Datejust II in Yellow Rolesor, a bold fusion of 904L Oystersteel and 18k yellow gold. Produced from 2009 to 2016, the Datejust II occupies a unique historical position as the most muscular, oversized interpretation of the Datejust aesthetic ever created. With its 41 mm case, broad bezel, and assertive dial proportions, it represented Rolex’s first modern attempt to scale the classic Datejust into a contemporary, sport‑leaning format. The model was ultimately succeeded by the Datejust 41, which preserved the size but refined the silhouette into a leaner, more balanced profile, making the 116333 a distinctive, short-lived chapter in the evolution of Rolex’s flagship dress sport watch. Rolex does not publish production figures, does not discount, and allocates its steel sport models years behind demand. That structure is most of why the secondary market prices the way it does.
