The Pre-Owned Hermès HSS Kelly Retourne 28 Bambou Brushed Gold is for sale as a single unit. Retourne construction is stitched inside out and then turned, rounding the corners for a softer stance. As a Special Order, this colour combination was never offered off the shelf.
28 is the reference Kelly, and 27 the closest Bolide equivalent. Togo is a pebbled calfskin with a fine raised grain. It shrugs off light scratching far better than a smooth leather and softens slowly at the corners. Brushed gold carries a matte satin finish rather than a mirror polish, offered only on special order commissions.
It is finished with tonal stitching. The interior is lined in Bamboo Chevre leather. Special Order, or HSS, pieces are placed through a boutique rather than bought off the shelf. They carry a horseshoe stamp above the Hermès blind stamp, and they exist in colour and leather combinations that never reach general stock.
