Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Limited Edition 40mm White Gold 2015, available to buy now. The Rotonde is Cartier’s round case for its Fine Watchmaking complications.
The case measures 40mm in white gold, on a crocodile skin strap. The movement is manual wind and has to be wound by hand.
A power reserve indicator shows how much winding remains. A date display is set into the dial. Production dates to 2015. Cartier has been making watches since 1904 and is shape-led rather than movement-led: the Tank, Santos, Crash and Baignoire are recognised by silhouette alone, which is why the discontinued and limited cases appreciate the way they do.
