The Cartier Tank Americaine Large 45.1mm Rose Gold is for sale as a one-off piece. The Américaine elongates and curves the Tank case to sit closer to the wrist.
The case measures 26.6mm x 45.1mm in rose gold, on a crocodile skin strap. The movement is automatic, wound by the motion of the wrist. It is diamond or gem-set; the stones are shown in the listing photography.
A date display is set into the dial. Cartier has been making watches since 1904 and is shape-led rather than movement-led: the Tank, Santos, Crash and Baignoire are recognised by silhouette alone, which is why the discontinued and limited cases appreciate the way they do.
