The Vintage Hermès Shoulder Birkin JPG 42 Blue Jean Clemence Palladium is for sale as a single unit. The 42 JPG is the Jean Paul Gaultier shoulder Birkin, produced only for a short window and never reissued.

Clemence is a taurillon leather with a flatter, broader grain and more weight than Togo. It relaxes noticeably as it is carried, giving the bag a softer, lower line. Palladium is a bright, cool silver that will not tarnish.

The shoulder Birkin, designed under Jean Paul Gaultier, is the flat, elongated interpretation built to be carried on the shoulder. The bag carries a front flap, two straps closing over a centre toggle, a clochette holding the lock and keys, and double rolled handles.

Condition is stated as Vintage, graded Excellent. The blind stamp dates production to 2005. Seller’s condition notes, unedited: This bag has a relaxed shape structure. There is no plastic on the hardware. The exposed hardware has moderate scratches throughout. The exterior leather has signs of wear with visible press marks to the base, cracking to the pull straps and top handle resin, and discoloration and minor scuffing to the bottom corners. There is discoloration to the exterior contrast stitching and the top handles have some peeling near the base of the handles. The interior leather has press markings to the interior base and peeling under the front flap. The clochette has some wear.
