About this Hermès Birkin 35 Black Togo

The Vintage Hermès Birkin 35 Black Togo Gold is for sale as a one-off piece. The 35 is the largest of the core sizes and the one that actually functions as a work bag, and because demand skews smaller it is usually the best value per centimetre in the lineup.

Togo is a pebbled calfskin with a fine raised grain. It shrugs off light scratching far better than a smooth leather and holds the Birkin’s shape while the corners soften slowly with use. Gold hardware is a warm yellow plate and is the finish that moves fastest on the secondary market.

Retourne construction, stitched inside out and then turned, gives rounded corners and a slightly relaxed stance. The bag carries a front flap, two straps closing over a centre toggle, a clochette holding the lock and keys, and double rolled handles.

Condition is stated as Vintage, graded Excellent to Mint. The blind stamp dates production to 2006. Seller’s condition notes, unedited: This bag is relaxed in the front bottom corners and top back right side. There is partial plastic on the hardware. The exposed turnlock and lock have light scratches while the contents have hairline scratches present. The turnlock and pull strap plates have some tarnishing to the rivets sealed beneath the plastic. The exterior leather is clean with minimal signs of wear. The interior leather is clean with minimal signs of wear.
