The Pre-Owned Hermès HSS Birkin 25 Craie Epsom Brushed Gold is for sale as a one-off piece. The 25 is the smallest of the core Birkin sizes and the hardest to source at retail, which is why it consistently carries the largest premium over boutique price.

Epsom is an embossed calfskin with a pressed cross-hatch grain. It is light, rigid and wipe-clean, and it holds a sharp edge instead of slouching. Brushed gold carries a matte satin finish rather than a mirror polish, and it is only offered on special order commissions.

Retourne construction, stitched inside out and then turned, gives rounded corners and a slightly relaxed stance. The bag carries a front flap, two straps closing over a centre toggle, a clochette holding the lock and keys, and double rolled handles. This is a Special Order, or HSS, commission. Those are placed through a boutique rather than bought off the shelf, they carry a horseshoe stamp above the Hermès blind stamp, and they exist in combinations that never reach general stock.

Condition is stated as Pre-owned, graded Mint. The blind stamp dates production to 2018. Seller’s condition notes, unedited: This bag retains its shape structure. The exterior leather is clean with the exception of a small scuff to the clochette. There is plastic on all of the hardware. The interior leather has some faint press marks to the base and the back wall below the front flap.
