The Hermès Birkin 30 White Clemence Gold is for sale as a one-off piece. The 30 is the size most people settle on: large enough for a laptop sleeve, a folder and the day’s contents, small enough to still read as a handbag rather than a tote.
Clemence is a taurillon leather with a flatter, broader grain and more weight than Togo. It relaxes noticeably as it is carried, giving the bag a softer, lower line. Gold hardware is a warm yellow plate and is the finish that moves fastest on the secondary market.
Retourne construction, stitched inside out and then turned, gives rounded corners and a slightly relaxed stance. The bag carries a front flap, two straps closing over a centre toggle, a clochette holding the lock and keys, and double rolled handles.
