The Cartier Tank Louis 29.5mm White Gold 2018 is for sale as a single unit. The Tank Louis is the purest of the Tanks, with rounded brancards and a gold case, and it is the reference most collectors mean when they say Tank.
The case measures 29.5mm x 22mm in white gold, on a crocodile skin strap. The movement is manual wind and has to be wound by hand. It is diamond or gem-set; the stones are shown in the listing photography.
Production dates to 2018. Cartier has been making watches since 1904 and is shape-led rather than movement-led: the Tank, Santos, Crash and Baignoire are recognised by silhouette alone, which is why the discontinued and limited cases appreciate the way they do.
