Description
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Carbon Concept Openworked “CCW1” Titanium, available to buy now. Gerald Genta drew the Royal Oak in a single night in 1971, and the octagonal bezel with its eight exposed screws and the integrated bracelet made it the first luxury steel sports watch. It remains the piece the house is defined by.
The case is titanium. The movement is manual wind and has to be wound by hand.
A power reserve indicator shows how much winding remains. Audemars Piguet has been independently and family-owned since 1875, has never been sold, and produces roughly 50,000 watches a year across the entire catalogue. Steel Royal Oak allocation runs years behind demand.
